Wind it up Ep.13 - Aaron Herrington

Videoparts selected by who really knows 📚
But this time we have a special edition…

“I can’t say I Have ONE favorite video so. Im gonna talk about a few.”

@shortysskateboards – Fullfill the dream [1998]

@transworldskate – Modus operandi [2000]

Toy machine – Jump off a b*ilding [1998]

“I chose these three videos because I can’t personally narrow down my Favorite video/video part of all time. It’s very difficult these days especially in this digital age we live in, seeing that there is content released Constantly and every second.
I started skating in 99-00, it was my summer of 5th grade going into 6th grade. No longer did Pokemon cards interest me, but skateboarding did! These videos when I look up the dates I think the years should be many ahead of when I watched them but the timing of their release and getting my hands on a copy makes sense for that Time.

  • My cousin introduced me to Shortys ‘Fulfill The Dream! That video blew my mind. I had very little reference to skateboarding at that time so that video left me with a shock and awe that I never had before.
  • Modus, i watched before The Reason bc that’s just what you do haha and The entire video, from Kurupt ‘Tyrlogy’ to Marc Johnson describing
    skateboarding, down to BA skating to Chad Muskas, Master B track.
    Everything about Modus made me fall further in love with skateboarding.
  • Jump of A B*ilding, was I believe one of the first true “hard copies” I had owned and purchased and not ripped and copied onto an old 6 hour VHS tape ha ALL of the FDR Footage that Bam Margera came out with at that time was so sick to me.

    The way Maldonado was an “east coast power house” is truly shown in this Video. Everything about the way they skated Street was so amazing to me in 2000, even tho my recollection or knowledge of skating was so minimal. I could tell that Less was More, and That video really showed how rad Street skating is in an age of insane progression and technicality.
    End Rant.”
